While Missouri has executed two men since 2005, the state is ranked 5th nationally in the total number (68) of executions. As a faith community, it is important to let our voices be heard on the death penalty.
People of Faith Against the Death Penalty (PFADP) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, interfaith organization whose mission is to educate and mobilize faith communities across the nation to act to abolish the death penalty in the United States. As part of its outreach effort, PFADP has launched two petitions, one for faith leaders in Missouri and one for lay people of faith. Names of Missouri signers will be shared with organizations in Missouri working to end the death penalty. Please consider signing these petitions and pass them on to your friends of all faiths.
