This week, Archbishop Carlson announced, along with the Incarnate Word Foundation and others, his support for a new non-profit housing initiative being launched in South St. Louis City. Named St. Joseph Housing, the new separately-incorporated non-profit organization will purchase houses in the area, fix them up, and then make them available to low and moderate-income families in need.
“It is very important to have an adequate place to raise a family,” Archbishop said at the press conference held at St. Mary’s High school in South City. The initiative hopes to accomplish systematic change by helping families who rent build wealth through home ownership. For more information about this exciting new initiative, click here.
