Can Missouri’s U.S. Senators Work Together to Pass a Dream Act?

Unless Congress acts, nearly 1.8 million young people, known as Dreamers, may face deportation. Dreamers are young people who were brought into the U.S. as infants or children. America is the only home they have known. The U.S. Catholic Bishops are urging passage of a Dream Act that will protect the Dreamers from deportation and allow a path to citizenship.

The U.S. Senate is the primary battleground right now. That is why the Missouri Catholic Conference (MCC) has sent an Action Alert to all our MOCAN members, urging them to send messages to U.S. Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill. To contact them, please respond to this MCC Alert by sending a pre-composed message you can email to the senators.

On Monday, we will be contacting you again to participate in a national call-in campaign being organized by the U.S. Conference of Catholic bishops. The call-in will reinforce the email messages you have sent this week.
