Christians Returning to Iraqi Villages Find Churches in Ruins

As Christians begin to return to villages near Mosul, they are arriving to find their places of worship desecrated. The Iraqi army has recently had success in pushing the Islamic State (ISIS) out of this part of Northern Iraq, but the release of the city has come at a cost, as many homes have been destroyed and any semblance of normal life is hard to find.

As we prepare to give thanks with our closest family and friends next week, let us remember to pray for those Christian brothers and sisters whose lives have been turned upside down in Iraq, Syria, and other parts of the Middle East. Read more in this Crux article.
