Rural Missouri continues to set the pace in collecting voter signatures in support of the Children’s Education Initiative (CEI), the proposed constitutional amendment that would provide assistance to K-12 children no matter where they attend school. This week, for example, the MCC received notarized petition pages from Queen of Peace parish in the little town of Ewing in the northeast corner of Missouri.
One would suppose that small parishes would think they are not important in this effort because they can only collect a modest number of signatures; but this is not the case. Every signature counts and gets us closer to obtaining the number of signatures required to place CEI on the November 2014 election ballot. So keep it up and thank you!
