The execution of Russell Bucklew is still set for March 20. If you have not done so already, please contact Governor Greitens at (573) 751-3222 or by webform and asked the execution be halted. Mr. Bucklew suffers from a rare medical condition, known as cavernous hemangioma, which causes tumors to grow in his sinuses. He is at a heightened risk of a botched execution because of the combined use of pain medication, anesthesia, and the effects of pentobarbital used in lethal injection. The Catholic Church opposes executions as they violate the sanctity and dignity of human life.
