George Will Speaks Out Against Death Penalty

It may come as a surprise to some people, but one of the growing constituencies speaking out against the death penalty are conservative groups. From Evangelicals to those who fear the power of the government, conservatives (as was the case with many Nebraska legislators) are increasingly concerned about the excessive cost of the death penalty, its disregard for the sacredness of human life, mistakes in the system, and the need to limit the power of the government.

Last week conservative columnist George Will spoke against the death penalty in the following editorial in the Washington Post.
