The Sacre Coeur (sacred heart) basilica is located in Paris and its construction was started at the end of the 19thCentury, making it fairly modern by European standards. It is renowned for its white façade and for its location on the highest hilltop in Paris from which one can gaze upon the city.
The basilica welcomes more visitors each year than the Eiffel Tower! The Sacre Coeur has also hosted at least one person in perpetual prayer since its opening over one hundred years ago. Enjoy this virtual tour of one of Paris’ most visited landmarks.
