MCC Responds to Attacks in St. Louis Post-Dispatch Editorial

Mike Hoey, executive director of the MCC

In a June 11 editorial, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote about SB 749 and contrasted the views of Planned Parenthood and the Missouri Catholic Conference. The editorial wrongly characterized SB 749 as a bill about contraceptive coverage and ignored the abortion part of the bill. While the Post-Dispatch quoted Planned Parenthood, they had no quotes from the MCC. MCC Executive Director Mike Hoey wrote a letter to the editor of the Post-Dispatch, and it was published on Wednesday, June 13.

I know there’s the planned parenthood building and it’s still standing. And I’ve heard people talk about their abortions but I’v never heard anyone say anything good about abortions.
