Beheadings, chemical warfare, indiscriminate bombing of towns and villages- the Syrian war has led to an exodus of innocent civilians trying to flee violence and constant terror. What started as a conflict between Syrian president Basher al-Assad and pro-democracy forces has morphed into a sectarian conflict in which the dreaded Islamic State plays a deadly role.
