Legislators began prefiling bills on Dec. 1. Typically more than 1,500 are filed in any one legislative session, ranging from noncontroversial issues such as property easements to heated topics such as repeal the death penalty. Through this Capitol Update, the MCC will keep you informed about bills filed that are of particular interest to Missouri Catholic citizens. You can also visit the House and Senate websites for information on bills that have been filed.
The General Assembly won’t actually convene until Jan. 4. The session ends May 18, 2012.
