Second Fortnight for Religious Freedom Starts June 21st

The second United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Fortnight for Religious Freedom starts June 21st and runs through July 4th. The USCCB is asking people of faith to pray and fast for our first freedom, religious liberty. Threats to our religious liberties from the HHS contraceptive mandate, and the re-definition of marriage, among others, warrant our attention and continued prayers. For prayer and other resources that can be used during the Fortnight, click here.

We were disappointed that the Fortnight for Freedom Flyer does not have the information on it with the dates and Mass time, etc., as it did in 2013. The Pastor wants to publish in our bulletin as was done last year.

Here is a link to the Archdiocese site for the Fortnight for Freedom (, according to that site, the Mass is July 2 at 12:05 pm at the Cathedral. The Archdiocesan Communications Office may have or be able to make a flyer with the date and Mass time.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!
