U.S. Bishops Renew Commitment to Voter Guide “Faithful Citizenship”

At their meeting this summer in Florida, the U.S. Catholic Bishops renewed their commitment to the document “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” a guide created to assist Catholics in forming their consciences for political activity. The document is available online and outlines Catholic teaching on issues of public policy and the common good, which Pope Francis told Congress in a 2015 address “is the chief aim of all politics.”

In anticipation of the election season, the MCC will be highlighting different aspects of this document in the coming weeks. We encourage you to take advantage of the resources available on the USCCB website to better form your conscience in preparation for the midterm election to be held in November.
