Pluto Flyby Captivates Imagination

Nine and a half years and 3 billion miles later the unmanned spacecraft New Horizons zipped past Pluto this week taking spectacular photos of ice-covered mountains and other features of a strange world. New Horizons also shot photos of Pluto’s Moon, Charon, which features canyons that appear to be 3 to 6 miles deep. For commentary and some thrilling photos, visit the NASA website.
