A Glimmer of Hope for Bipartisanship

Congressmen Emmanuel Cleaver (D-Kansas City)and Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-St. Elizabeth)recently teamed up to pass a new public housing law that gets rid of duplicate regulations and allows tenants to stay in subsidized housing for a year after their income increases. The latter provision will allow people to save money as they transition out of public housing.  At least in a few areas, Congress is functioning and members of the opposite parties are working together for the common good. Let us pray that more of this kind of cooperation will be pursued.
