Abortion Clinic Inspection Bill Filed for Consideration

Senator Wayne Wallingford (R-Cape Girardeau) has once again filed legislation, Senate Bill 33, requiring any facility in Missouri performing abortions to be inspected once a year by the Missouri Department of Health.  An identical bill was filed last year and had bipartisan support in the House and Senate, but failed to pass the General Assembly before the end of the session.

The Missouri Catholic Conference will be supporting this bill again this year and expects the bill to get quick consideration.  It is hoped this bill will get the same bi-partisan support it had last year and will be approved by Missouri lawmakers.
