Adult Heart Attack Patients May be Helped by Others Stem Cells

The American Heart Association and the American Medical Association have backed research that states 30 heart attack patients – some who received strangers stem cells – saw improvement in their overall physical condition, a year after they were injected with the cells.

The bone marrow was removed from the hip of the donor or patient themself, and then injected into the patient.

There were 30 people in the trial; 15 received cells from their own bone marrow and 15 from strangers bone marrow. Each participant reported feeling better, being able to do more and overall improvement in their health, one year later.
