Youth love being on-line. In a world that wants to be “liked,” young people are willing to share their lives at the click of a button. But do our youth know the difference between their virtual identity and their actual reality. In this Missouri Catholic Conference Annual Assembly workshop, Laura Thomson, Interactive Media Specialist with the Archdiocese of St. Louis, will explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of social media, and give youth some tips on staying smarter than their Smartphone. This is an important workshop that all youth should hear!
The youth workshop is part of a Youth Track for 6th grade and up offered at the MCC Annual Assembly on October 4. It also includes a Legislative Scavenger Hunt and a Mock Legislature.
