“Being Catholic Today” A Resource for Life in Post-Modern America

The Supreme Court’s decision re-defining marriage will cause many people of faith to question how they should respond to the new “law of the land.” Some may wonder if this decision means the Catholic Church will change its definition of marriage (it won’t); others may question how they should respond to loved ones who struggle with same-sex attraction; still others question why the Church says it respects those with homosexual tendencies, yet rejects that lifestyle.

Cardinal Donald Wuerl of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC has recently written a pastoral letter addressing what it means to be Catholic in post-modern America, and more, entitled “Being Catholic Today.” It is a great resource for those wanting to dig deeper into what it means to be Catholic in the confusion of the post-modern world. You can read the letter here.
