Can Perennial Plants Lead to More Sustainable Agriculture?

What if, instead of planting new beans and wheat each year, farmers could produce our food from perennial plants that came back each year for harvesting? A new research project sponsored by St. Louis University, the Missouri Botanical Garden and the Land Institute is looking into this idea. Check out a video and articles about the Global Perennial Agriculture Project.
