Clean Missouri Initiative Seeks Voter Signatures

The Clean Missouri Initiative is seeking voter signatures to place an ethics reform petition on the November 2018 election ballot. The proposal would reduce the value of gifts people can give to legislators, limit campaign contributions and establish a new process to reapportion legislative districts every ten years. The redistricting process, which involves complicated criteria, would be spearheaded by a new state demographer. The initiative has received funding from unions and Planned Parenthood. At this time, the MCC has no position on the proposal. For more information, read these articles from the Missouri Times and the Springfield News-Leader.
