Roderick Nunley is set to be executed on Sept. 1, 2015.  Under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime Nunley and his co-defendant Michael Taylor were sentenced to death for the abduction and murder of Ann Harrison.  Following his arrest Nunley expressed genuine remorse and immediately took responsibility for his actions.  He provided the police a detailed statement, admitted his guilt and knew he deserved punishment.  He was ready to accept life in prison without the possibility of parole.  Sentenced to death by a judge, a jury never heard mitigation evidence in the case.

The Catholic Church opposes the use of the death penalty because it disregards the sanctity of human life and promotes violence as a solution to societal problems. Contact Governor Nixon today at 573-751-3222 or by email and urge him to stay Nunley’s execution.
