Dr. Vansen Wong performed abortions in California for almost seven years, but had a conversion of heart and a revival of faith. He now volunteers at a pregnancy resource center near his home that offers medical advice, including ultrasounds, to women facing crisis pregnancies.
He told a group of students at St. Louis University recently that the longer he performed abortions, the less compassionate he became. Hoping to offer support to women facing a difficult decision after a sexual assault, he found himself helping women for whom pregnancy was merely an inconvenience; in one instance, an unwanted conflict with a planned vacation.
Dr. Wong encouraged the students to be the voice for life. “Your generation truly can reverse abortion,” he said. Read more about his visit to SLU in this St. Louis Review article.
