Great Plains Wildfire Relief

In early March, wildfires raced through the states of Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, burning over a million acres of land, and killing thousands of cattle and other livestock animals. Several people died attempting to save livestock.

The fires are now fully contained, but the disaster is not yet over for all those who lost family, homes, livestock and more during the blaze. Relief efforts are underway, with convoys of hay, feed, fence posts and other resources headed across state lines to farmers and ranchers in need.

Even in the darkest of times, these cattlemen and ranchers find the light, as the Gardiner family shares in this story. Please pray for all those affected by these devastating events, and visit the Catholic Rural Life website for more information about how you can get involved with the relief efforts.
