March 17 is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It is a day that people the world over wear green and celebrate what it means to be Irish.
St Patrick’s story is fascinating. Born to a wealthy British family, he was kidnapped as a teen and taken to Ireland as a slave. He eventually escaped and returned home. But God would call him back to Ireland as a missionary, where he spent 40 years spreading Christianity.
In honor of the feast day, we invite you to take a few minutes to watch this video of Ireland. It is easy to see why St. Patrick loved the Emerald Isle and its people!
