When is the last time you visited the Missouri State Capitol? If you attend the MCC Annual Assembly on Saturday, October 4, you will have the opportunity to meet Meriwether Lewis and William Clark (their likenesses, that is) at the Lewis and Clark Trailhead Plaza. This plaza, located just east of the Capitol, features heroic size monuments of Lewis, Clark, George Drouillard, their scout and interpreter, York, a slave, and the Newfoundland, Seaman. There is a waterfall and a beautiful vista of Lohman’s Landing and the Missouri river. To prepare for your trip, read this short brochure – Lewis and Clark in Missouri.
