Missouri Dioceses Prepare to Send Buses To March for Life in DC

Missouri’s four Catholic dioceses are making final preparations to send busloads of pro-life students and their chaperones to Washington for the Annual March for Life on January 22.  Over 50 buses will depart from the Show-Me State to take part in the event to show support for life and the reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the United States.

The St. Louis Archdiocese will lead the way with 38 buses, Kansas City is sending 12, Jefferson City is sending 5, and Springfield/Cape is sending 3 buses.  The annual pilgrimage typically involves over 500,000 people from across the country and is a great witness to the power of grass roots efforts to influence public policy.  For many Missouri school students, this is their first exposure to the pro-life movement, and many become lifetime pro-life advocates after attending the event.

Each of the dioceses has vigil Masses scheduled next week to commemorate the Roe v. Wade decision, and to encourage a culture of life.  Check your local diocesan website for more information.
