Missouri Ranks Near Bottom in Serving Residents

A recent report by US News & World Report ranks Missouri 37th  overall in how the state is meeting the needs of its citizens. The range of 60 criteria included education, health care, infrastructure and the economy. Some of the areas Missouri ranked lowest in were addressing crime, the economy and meeting transportation needs. Some of the bright spots for the state were in high school graduation rates, affordability and in the use of government technology. Among our neighboring states Kansas overall ranked 28th, Illinois was 29th, Tennessee was 39th and Arkansas was 48th.  To view the complete findings, click here.
