During this year’s Fortnight for Freedom, the U.S. Bishop’s annual vigil for religious liberty, the relics of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher are making the rounds in the U.S.
More and Fisher were both beheaded by King Henry VIII of England for their refusal to assent to the king’s demand to divorce his wife and marry his mistress Anne Boleyn. The relics tour is being coordinated by the Minnesota Catholic Conference. The relics aren’t scheduled to visit Missouri, but a list of the cities they will visit can be found here.
