The U.S. Senate this week failed to pass a bill aimed at stopping taxpayer-funding going to Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion provider. The Senate did not have the 60 votes needed to stop a filibuster of the bill by Democrats. The vote to stop debate was 53-46, falling mostly along party lines with two Democrats joining the GOP in favor of continuing debate and bringing the bill to a vote. A fight over the issue is expected to continue as more undercover videos are expected to be release this fall by the Center for Medical Progress. Read more here.
