Senate Resolution Seeks to Stop Spread of Abortion Sanctuary Movement

State Senator Paul Wieland (R-Imperial) is trying to stop the spread of the abortion “sanctuary” movement in Missouri. Senate Concurrent Resolution 10 urges the Board of Aldermen in St. Louis to put aside or defeat Board Bill 203. (See previous story.) Senator Wieland is concerned that St. Louis could set the example for other Missouri municipalities to enact abortion “sanctuary” ordinances.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 10 declares that: “the deeply held religious convictions and moral beliefs of the people of the State of Missouri and the City of St. Louis should be respected rather than attacked.”

The Missouri Catholic Conference (MCC) is urging all members of the Missouri Catholic Advocacy Network (MOCAN) to contact their state senator and urge passage of SCR 10. The “abortion sanctuary” movement needs to be stopped now before it spreads to all parts of Missouri! Respond to this MCC Action Alert and contact your senator TODAY!
