This week the Missouri Senate approved two resolutions aimed at obtaining information from St. Louis Planned Parenthood and St. Louis Pathology Services, Inc. on how they dispose of the fetal remains of aborted unborn babies.
Both Planned Parenthood and Pathology Services, Inc. have so far refused to provide any of the documents requested. Senator Kurt Schaefer (R-Columbia), who headed up the Sanctity on Human Life Committee that investigated the matter late last year, said during Senate debate that legislators cannot be sure that Planned Parenthood has not broken any laws without a review of the documents so far not provided.
Many of you responded to our Action Alert and it obviously made a difference, with a strong majority of senators approving the summons that the CEO of Planned Parenthood appear before the Senate Chamber on April 25. See this AP article for more details. The MCC will keep you updated on this issue.
