U.S. Leaving Climate Accord, Vatican, U.S. Bishops Express Regret

The United States is leaving the Paris Climate Agreement, an accord signed by countries around the world to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. According to a Washington Post article, only two countries have not signed the accord, Syria, and Nicaragua. The Vatican is not officially a part of the agreement but has publicly supported it, and officials at the Vatican expressed dismay at the U.S. move. The U.S. Bishops also expressed disappointment in a brief statement.
